The Locarno Film Festival is Switzerland's most prestigious film event and among the most celebrated in Europe. For eleven days, the city transforms into the world capital of cinema, hosting international directors, actors, and stars on the red carpet. The heart of the festival is the magical Piazza Grande, which every evening becomes the "most beautiful open-air cinema in the world," featuring screenings under the stars on one of Europe’s largest screens.
